8 Sep 2008Ah U.S short term memory and the ability to be distracted is an amazing thing. Apparently all the flag waving, chants of U.S.A., and talk of Hockey Moms worked, as a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows John McCain leading over Barack Obama 54% to 44% among likely voters.
Poll numbers are constantly shifting and more often than not based on biased questions and perspectives, but regardless numbers are scary, especially since according to a USA TODAY article, the boost in numbers is credited to Sarah Palin.
The Republican National Convention has given John McCain and his party a significant boost, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken over the weekend shows, as running mate Sarah Palin helps close an “enthusiasm gap” that has dogged the GOP all year.
