Oh, how I would like to follow in the steps of Shakira. People en Español reports that Shaki is about to take a nice, long vacation — one year to be precise — to “dedicate time to her loved ones”. She stated at a press conference in her hometown of Barranquilla:

“I think I deserve it. It’s good to stay at home and think about one’s self a little. To be with loved ones and accompany them in their own dreams like they’ve done with mine.”

Here she was recognizing the support of her boyfriend, Antonio de la Rúa. “Antonio had dedicated himself to my projects for a long time, he’s made them his and that for me is a great gift. Now it’s time for me to support him in the realization of his dreams.”

What a nice gf Shaki is…

Shakira also confirmed that during this sabbatical she will not be doing any acting because the idea “terrifies her”.
