A group of bloggers is demanding the beatification of the late Spanish singer Rocío Jurado, who passed away after a bout with cancer last month, according to Spain’s 20 Minutos newspaper:
The blog http://rocio-jurado-santa.blogspot.com/ has opened up debate about “la más grande” whom it describes as an exceptional singer that has inspired such artistic devotion, the intensity of which is comparable only to spiritual devotion.
Somehow I don’t see the Vatican signing off on this anytime soon, but props to these people (who appear to be from Estonia) for their enthusiasm

Spain is mourning the death of one of its most celebrated performers.Singer and actress Rocio Jurado has died at the age of 61 from cancer. She last appeared on television in January this year, before heading off to Houston in Texas for specialist treatment.
Her family and friends accompanied the singer’s coffin to a Madrid cultural centre where admirers will have a chance to say farewell.
One woman said: “A page in our history has closed and I don’t know if it’ll be opened up again by someone else. We came to say goodbye.”
Born Maria del Rocio Trinidad Mohedano Jurado, Rocío was known for her copla work and for her prowess in this genre was nicknamed “La más grande”.
