There’s some controversy as to which groundhog we should trust. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, meaning 6 more weeks of winter and the Staten Island, NYC groundhog didn’t see his shadow, meaning an early spring. One way to heat things up is with some musica from Brazil.
Gracias a Viva Brazil you can get that cuerpo moving with some funky musica for you culito. A weekly radio show from Viva Radio, it features tropicalia, samba soul, funk, bossa, and popular music from our Portuguese speaking hermanos.

Why are these gringos so happy? Because Punxsutawney Phil, the Pennsylvania groundhog who either raises or smashes warm weather hopes, didn’t see his shadow this morning.
According to German lore this means that we will have an early spring. The Germans believed that if a hibernating animal cast a shadow Feb. 2 – the Christian holiday of Candlemas – winter would last another six weeks. If no shadow was seen, legend said spring would come early. Since 1886, Phil has seen his shadow 96 times, hasn’t seen it 15 times and there are no records for nine years, according to the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club. The last time Phil failed to see his shadow was in 1999.
I hate, and I mean hate, the cold and the winter which is why I heart Punxsutawney Phil.
Does anyone know how to say groundhog in Spanish?
