There seems to be no end to the continuing saga of Miss California vs. blogger Perez Hilton. In less than 48 hours, la Miss appears to have turned herself into a bible thumping representative of the religious right and Hilton appears to getting angrier rather than cooling off.

In the above clip, watch Miss California give her side of the story, and MSNBC manipulate the facts.

Perez Hilton vs. Miss California on Gay Marriage

This idiot is representing my state in the world’s most irrelevant television event? At least fellow Latino blogger Perez Hilton tries to make this moronic and antiquated pageant somewhat relevant, but look at the response he was awarded for his good intentions. Note as well the applause she got. Not surprising when you consider who might be attending such a shitshow.

Oh, and she didn’t win.

Please Tell Me This is a Joke : Perez Hilton the Musical?

perez-hilton-400ds0801.jpgI know there’s a scarcity of Latino themed theatrical productions, but do we need a Perez Hilton musical, really? No te parece mucho?

“In Touch” reports that Randy Blair, Timothy Michael Drucker and Zach Redler, all 24, have penned Perez Hilton Saves the Universe (or at Least the Greater Los Angeles Area): The Musical. The show will poke fun at celebrities like Britney Spears and Kathy Griffin — who is featured as a villain — and follows Perez as he saves L.A. from nuclear disaster.

Good luck with that. In the Heights it will not be.

160_ap_hilton_070222.jpgWhile Latino gossip blogger extraordinaire, Perez Hilton, might have had some trouble lately, it looks like his chisme empire might be expanding beyond the Internet and into television. The Hollywood Reporter says:

It looks like VH1 is getting into business with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

The network, whose programming tends to center on pop culture and music, is believed to be ordering six hourlong episodes of a series tentatively titled “What Perez Says,” but it’s understood that the show’s details are still being worked out.

Hilton (aka Mario Lavandeira) let the news slip Friday morning during an appearance on ABC’s “The View”.

“Perez was on The View? When will Mala and I receive such illustrious invitations?

This wouldn’t be Perez’s first time on VH1; some of you might have seen him on the network’s weekly show “Best Week Ever”.

Penelope’s Air Show

PenelopeOscar.jpgAfter so much politics and flying back and forth its time for fluffy goodness (mmmm rico). Perez Hilton is reporting that Penelope Cruz had what seems to be a panic attack on a plane.

Penelope Cruz had a panic attack onboard a Continental flight from Newark to Barcelona Thursday night. Cruz, who appeared to be traveling alone, was in first class and became agitated after the plane left the gate. After she spoke with the cockpit, the plane returned to the gate and Cruz deplaned. A fellow passenger told Huffington Post, “She was freaking out and refused to fly.” In the process of Cruz deplaning, the flight removed all the bags, which then sat in the rain, so that the airline could locate her luggage

Pobre Penelope. Perez is hinting that she was on something, maybe she’s afraid of flying.

21 Jun 2007

staffpicks_hilton_320x240.jpgPerez Hilton, the blogosphere’s most popular celebrity blogger is in hot water again over copyright infringement. According to Variety.com, the site went off line when its hosting company pulled the plug:

After numerous warnings against Hilton’s (aka Mario Lavandeira) use of copyrighted celebrity images, the Oz-based Crucial Paradigm took the site off line; it was dark for a number of hours before it returned to the Internet with a different host.

Hilton is currently named in four lawsuits involving eight photo agencies for his alleged theft of photographs that appear on his site, one that’s been a popular gossip destination for some 2½ years. Hilton frequently adds his own captions to the shots.

Latino blogger sued

11:40 am By Jennifer Woodard Maderazo · Blogs|Celebrities · Comments Off

23 Feb 2007

Perez.jpgLatino superblogger Perez Hilton no tiene pelos en la lengua. He pretty much says whatever is on his mind — much to the dismay of many a Hollywood celeb — and indeed that has been the main draw to his blog, PerezHilton.com. Yahoo! News reports that a recent post which included a topless photo of Jennifer Aniston is now at the center of a lawsuit filed by Aniston’s studio against Perez:

Universal City Studios Productions LLLP filed the U.S. District Court copyright infringement suit Tuesday claiming Mario Lavandeira, who operates the www.perezhilton.com Internet site posted the stolen image.

The Aniston image was allegedly “misappropriated and illegally copied” during production or post-production of the 2006 romantic comedy hit The Break-Up, starring the actress and Vince Vaughn, the suit said.

Latino blogger makes a sport of outing

11:27 am By Jennifer Woodard Maderazo · Chismes|GLBT|Internet · Comments Off

28 Nov 2006

6390.jpgPerez Hilton, one of the most widely-read blogs on the internet, is the pen name of a gay Latino blogger, one Mario Lavandeira. You probably knew that already. But did you know that Perez feels he’s paving the way for gays and lesbians who want to come out of the closet by talking up their sexuality on the blog? His mission is to “out” as many celebs as possible:

On that point, as he sees it, they have forfeited their right to privacy.

“In American culture, a lot of people still think that being gay is bad and that being gay will hurt your career. I generally don’t think that.”
