Story%2BImage_thumb_cu%2Bfair%2Blegalization%2Bbest.jpg The rallying call “Si Se Puede” is linked to Cesar Chavez and the West Coast farm worker movement, ut it was also the rallying cry of thousands of families, workers, immigrants, hermanos y hermanas on Saturday in New York City as they marched across the Brooklyn Bridge. Contrary to the image the mass media attempts to present, of Latinos and others taking it to the street to intimidate, the march on Saturday celebrated community struggle and love and an attempt to attach a human face to the current immigration debate. Rallies and marches are just some tools in the larger struggle for what boils down to basic human rights and are just one way the community can lend support and solidarity.
