The Rebel Diaz crew altered me to their latest video, American Spring and I’m sharing it below.
Produced by DJ Charlie Hustle and directed by Mateo Zapata, the video was filmed in Chicago during the NATO Summit protests, where thousands marched.
Now I don’t know if I buy into the idea of an “American Spring”, borrowing the term from the Arab Spring movements. I still see so many divisions when it comes to organizing and movements working together. But I really think that this track does more than entertain. I think it offers lots of history that I really hope people will look up and learn about and maybe bring us closer to something stronger.
