Bochinche from Star Magazine is as reliable as gossip from la vecina when you run into her at the corner bodega. Regardless, we already wrote about how Jennifer Lopez may be pregnant, a rumor which was fed by her and hubby Marc Anthony’s shopping for baby items. Star Magazine is reporting that the couple is not biologically expected a child but that they are looking to adopt. An unnamed source is quoted as saying :
I think J.Lo would love to adopt a Puerto Rican baby, so the child can share its heritage with her and Marc.

Ana Gabriel (a personal fave) has been chosen to receive the “Máxima Excelencia” award at this year’s Premio Lo Nuestro.
This special award will be bestowed upon Ana because
Ana Gabriel es la artista femenina que ha recibido más premios Lo Nuestro en las categorías de música pop y regional mexicana, haciendo un total de 10 galardones entre 1990 y 1993, y dos más en 1999 y 2000.
Ahead of Ana Gabriel in the number of awards won in any category is JLo beau Marc Anthony, winner of 16 awards, making him the artist with most awards in the history of Lo Nuestro, followed by “El Buki” Marco Antonio Solis.
Catch Premio Lo Nuestro on Univisión this February 23rd at 8:00 pm EST/PST. The three-hour show will be hosted by telenovela actor Rene Strickler and pop star Paty Manterola.

Well, I certainly hope not. We have enough JLo as it is. But Paty seems a bit picada with the comparisons being made between the two as a result of each woman’s latest respective film roles. You see they are both in new films about musician Hector Lavoe; and like good females rivales in real life, JLo plays Hector’s second wife and Paty his first.
“We’re not playing the same part. She (JLo) is playing his ‘Puchi’, Lavoe’s second wife, so these comparisons are pointless,” she said
Pointless, sure — but fun!

Jennifer Lopez was seen dressed in white in the Iglesia de San Francisco de Asís in Old San Juan yesterday afternoon with her husband singer Marc Anthony. They were getting married again but not for real. They were filming a scene for the movie “El Cantante” about the late great sonero, Hector Lavoe. Marc Anthony plays the troubled singer and Jenny from the block plays his partner Nilda “Puchi” Román. “El Cantante” is one of two movies being made about Lavoe. The family of Lavoe is not supporting the Marc Anthony and J. Lo. version. The family instead is throwing their support behind a version starring Raúl Carbonell who also played Lavoe in a theatrical production in NYC.

J. Lo is one busy Boricua. La Lopez will be producing a film called Reggaeton along with Simon Fields for Nuyorican Productions and by Sofia Sondervan on behalf of SONY BMG Film. The flick is about a young man from the boogie down Bronx who falls in love with a Puerto Rican girl and the booty shakin music known as reggaeton while in hiding in the isla del encanto. The movie is set to begin filming in New York City and Puerto Rico this spring.
By the time filming commences Jenny from the block may be sporting a bump on her belly as sources have been spotting her and her marido, singer Marc Anthony, stocking up on baby gear.
