If I want to have a good cry over heartache, my go-to music is Marc Anthony, Alejando Fernandez, y Maná. This week, Maná, who teeter on that line between pop/rock in Spanish, released their new single Lluvia Al Corazón.

What do you think. Do the musicos Mexicanos still bring it or does it sound like more of the same?

42081_270.JPG.jpgLast night was the MTV Latinoamérica awards 2007 in Mexico City and the big winner was Mana, taking home awards for being the Artists of the Year and the Best Group or Duo. According to Despierta America on Univision being in their home country of Mexico didn’t mean that Mana and Belinda, who won two awards out of her five nominations, were spared being booed.

topmast_hillary.jpgIn a world where two Latin American leaders can seem like lovers, a Mexican rock group can interview an American presidential candidate:

Mexican rock band Maná and senator and U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton held a meeting in which they spoke about immigration, the environment and the possibility of a woman leading the country.

The musicians, who are enjoying a successful tour promoting their new album “Amar es combatir” met with Clinton in New York on the invitation of the ex-First Lady, who considers their opinions important for her quest for “better relations between the U.S. and the world”.
