10:54- John Travolta is presenting Best Cinematography. Dion Beebe won for Memoirs of a Geisha. Damn there were two Latinos nominated here. I thought out chances were so good.

10:57 – Jaime Foxx took off his shades to present Best Actress in a Leading Role. And the winner is…..Reese Witherspoon. Why did she kiss her man on the cheek? Was she so worried about messing up her lipstick? Ay I was hoping Felicity Huffman would win.

11:07 – Dustin Hoffman is presenting Best Adapted Screenplay. The Oscar goes to the writers of Brokeback Mountain.

11:13- Wow did Uma Thurman get blonde or what? She is presenting Best Screenplay and the Oscar goes to the writer’s of Crash.

11:18 – Tom Hanks with shorter hair is presenting Best Director. And the winner is Ang Lee for Brokeback Mountain.

11:22 – Here’s Jack! Jack Nicholson presenting Best Picture. The winner is…….Crash. Wow that’s a surprise!!! Aww they just shut the mic mid-speech.

I’m sure there is one more joke Jon Stewart has to make and then I can go to sleep.
11:29- Nope. No joke, just a good night.

estatuilla.jpg 10:37 pm – Will Smith is presenting Best Foreign Language film. And he just spoke Spanish. Why do they always make it seem like Latinos speak super fast and in run on sentences??? The South African film Tsotsi won. Why does he seem so angry?? You won hombre! Be happy.

10:40 – Ziyi Zhong is sparkling in her dress as she presents best Film Editing. Do you see how they group people all together? This is the foriegn portion. Crash won. Ha ha. The film editor almost forgot to give a speech.

10:44 – Hilary Swank must have the longest torser ever that or her boobs are mad droopy. She should consider something with straps. She is presenting Best Actor. Who did Joaquin just say he loved into the camera? And the Oscar goes to…..Philip Seymour Hoffman for his work in Capote. He just shouted out single mamis like his mami.

clooneywin.jpg Ok we just have passed through the Hispanic block. I mean you wanna tell me it wasn’t planned to have a commercial with Spanish Penelope Cruz selling hair color “that matches my skin tone” after Salma and un Argentino?

9:56 – Jake Gyllenhaal is on stage presenting (with a crooked bow tie) and calling West Side Story an epic. Ah hah. Ok.

10:00 – Jessica Alba. She really looks stunning in that gold dress, pero se ve bien flaca no? She , along with Eric Bana is presenting the award for Best Sound Mixing. The winner is King Kong. How ironic the mic wasn’t working for a sec.

10:03 – Lily Tomlin and Meryl Streep are doing a really long intro to the presentation of an Honorary Oscar to Robert Altman.

10:13 – I am getting really sleepy and Robert Altman is still talking. If they have a clock on him like he said, where the hell is it??!!

TheMoonAndTheSon.jpg 9:33- Sabes que hace falta on Sandra Bullock , as she presents Best Art Direction? Lipstick. She looks all washed out. You know what Keanu Reeves needs? To be in a good movie. Best Art Direction goes to Memoirs of a Geisha.

9:36 – Samuel L. Jackson is presenting a montage about a montage of films that challenge tradional thought.

9:40 – Sid Ganis, President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is giving the traditional long boring speech. At least he gave a shout out to New Orleans and introduced Salma Hayek, who looks bella in a teal satin dress and long wavey hair. She is introducing Itzhac Perlman who is playing a selection of songs nominated in the catagory of Best Original Score. We have two Latinos nominated in this catagory (finally!!!). And the winner is, Gustavo Santalolla, un Argentino for the score of Brokeback Mountain. He dedicated the award to us mi gente!! Los Latinos!!!

9:18 – Terrance Howard looks so different and nice with those glasses and short hair. He has a really high voice. He’s presenting Best Documentary Short. The winner is A Note of Triumph.

9:21 – Charlize Theron has an interesting dress and big hair to present Best Documentary Feature. March of the Penguins won. And mira they have stuffed penguins. Que cute. I’m actually getting teary over Artic birds.

9:23 – Jennifer Lopez looks elegantisima is an olive dress and she doesn’t look pregnant at all. You can tell she was just in Puerto Rico or in a tanning salon. She presented the song In the Deep from Crash. There is an actual car on fire on stage. Amazing!

9:00 – Nice Iraq joke from Jon Stewart. Me da pena con all the tech people who don’t get to share the stage with the stars they help.

9:02- A penguin’s best friend, Morgan Friedman (a man with so much class) who just got tongue tied, is presenting Best Supporting actress. The Oscar goes to 7 month pregnant Rachel Weisz.

Jennifer Lopez will be the first Latina to take the stage tonight.

Ewww did you all just see Beyonce in that makeup commerical? She looked lika a payasa!!Mira just because we women of color can wear bright colors doesn’t mean we have to rock them all at the same time!

Owen and Luke Wilson presenting Best Live Action Short to Martin McDonagh for Six Shooter.

Aww que cute. Cartoons at the Oscar presented Best Animated Short Film. And the winner is The Moon and the Sun: an Imagined Conversation.

8:48 – Jennifer Aniston is presenting best breakup!! No , I’m kidding. Best costume actually. The Oscar goes to Colleen Atwood for her work on Memoirs of a Geisha.

8:51- Russel Crowe (sans phone in his hand) is presenting a montage on films about people who made contributions to society. Here we ahve a few Latinas repesenting, like Salma Hayek for her role in Frida. Madonna ain’t Latina (she just wants to be) but she played one in Evita.

Ben Stiller (who reminds me of an ex of mine) is wearing some creepy green screen suit to present Best Visual Effects. The visual effects team from King Kong won here.

8:31 – Reese Witherspoon is presenting Best Animated feature. My daughter, la MaopucheRican is all for Corpse Bride winning here. The winner is : Wallace and Gromit and those accepting the award are wearing the biggest bow ties and put bow ties on their statues. Que raros.

8:34 – LATINO SIGHTING! Finally Jennifer Lopez gets her face on the screen. It looks like she was wearing green. We’ll see later when she presents. Dolly Parton is singing Travelin’ Thru the Oscar nominated song from TransAmerica. Ay esa mujer es mas plastica que una Barbie!

Whoa was that Jessica Simpson next to Jake Gyllenhall!!!????
