14 Mar 2009Mala is a little stressed out and seeking calm from the internet isn’t really helping.
I mean, mira, scary socialist Chavez is taking over everything, including highways, ports and airports.
It’s not like the U.S. to interfere in the elections of Latin American countries like El Salvador, right?
We could all just unwind in Mexico.
If we wanna a wax we’d have to skip Jersey.
We can’t even wash our kids anymore
Pero thankfully when all else fails, we have Jon Stewart.

11 Mar 2009In case you haven’t heard, resident comedian, Jon Stewart, has decided to take on Jim Cramer. Who the hell is Jim Cramer, you ask? Apparently he is a financial guru of some sort who has made a name off of screwing things up nice and tidy like:
An introduction:
And the hostility just isn’t ending. Last night Stewart aired the following clip. Watch out for how Latin@s make an appearance!
Ai, Latin@s in the house, my friends. ::teary eyed::
On a more serious note, never underestimate how satisfying the “P” word really can be!
Mike Huckabee pulls out every well thought out reason why gay marriage sux big hairy man balls here, and fortunately, Jon Stewart calls him on every single one of them. In light of the fact that two Latin@s were brutally beaten, one of them to the point of death, because of gay hate, it’s important to remember that not calling out even the well thought out homophobic reasoning has consequences.
There is no reasonable hate–I am glad Jon Stewart, at least, recognizes that.

18 Sep 2008Saw Charlize Theron on Jon Stewart last night talking about her new movie, Battle in Seattle. According to Theron, it is a movie that explains what the importance of the protests were and helps bring understanding to complicated issues like what even is the World Trade Organization and why on earth are people protesting it? Here’s the website for the movie, and here’s a trailer:
(btw, notice how my girl Michelle Rodrigez makes an appearance! How exciting!)
