Ladies and gentlemen, the moment we’ve all been waiting for: JLo and Skels are procreating. The deets from In Touch:
It looks like Jenny from the block will soon be playing with baby blocks. In Touch can exclusively reveal that Jennifer Lopez is going to be a mother. “She’s about twelve weeks pregnant,” an insider tells In Touch. “She’s due in the spring.” After years of trying to start a family with husband Marc Anthony, she was finally successful with in vitro fertilization — so successful, in fact, that there’s a possibility she’s having twins! Whether she has one baby or two, “becoming a mother is Jennifer’s dream,” a friend says. “She’s over the moon.”
Let’s just hope the baby looks like its mom!

Say what you will about Ms. Jennifer Lopez (we certainly do here) but she is one hard working mujer. The above is a shot from her recently filmed video for the single “Do It Well!”. Does anyone else think that maybe, just maybe Jennifer Lopez is taking her role as Puchi as more important than the role of Hector Lavoe and in the process trying to one up hubby Marc Anthony? The co-star of el Cantante is featured on the cover of Fashion Rocks magazine, a supplement to Conde Nast publications available to subscribers only. Inside the magazine is an extensive profile of Jenny from the Block, painting her as the disciplined backbone to Marc Anthony’s artsiness. So is she pulling a Puchi?

People en Español’s September issue contains their best dressed list and on the top of it is Jennifer López, reclaiming the place she once held in 2003. But the ghosts of her hubby, Marc Anthony’s past follow J. Lo. everywhere with his ex, 1993 Miss Universe Dayanara Torres coming in third place. Mexican actress and singer Lucero came in at number 8. Cameron Diaz, Penélope Cruz and Ugly Betty América Ferrara also are listed. There is also some dulce masculino with Gael García Bernal being featured for his “look bohemio” and Ricky Martin being hailed for his modern elegance. The Rican duo Calle 13 is featured for their “best personal style”.
But um can someone please explain why oh why the had to stick Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in there?

The gossip page of the NY Daily News is reporting that Jennifer Lopez and marido Marc Anthony are beefing up her security detail because of her choosing to wear fur.
According to a friend, an animal-rights extremist has been sending letters threatening ‘to kill her in public, just like the slaughtered animals whose fur she wears. He (Marc) has hired two off-duty police officers, in addition to her usual security team, to watch over Lopez whenever she makes public appearances,” says the pal.
J. Lo’s reps deny the story.

People who were listening carefully to Jennifer Lopez when she appeared on American Idol the other night are sayings she’s speaking Scientology.
In response to a question from American Idol host Ryan Seacrest about judge Simon Cowell’s harsh judging of contestants, nurturing Jennifer scoffed at such harshness, telling Ryan that she believed that “concentrating on the rightness brings more rightness.” L. Ron Hubbard penned an essay on May 23, 1971, titled “Recognition of Rightness of the Being.” He wrote:
“If you have no rightnesses present…you will never be able to make any progress of any kind. So you have to realize that there are rightnesses present and then you increase those rightnesses.”

Jennifer Lopez‘s first Spanish language album, Como Ama Una Mujer, was promoted vigorously in both Spanish and English language media, but apparently that wasn’t enough and the lackluster response to the album is causing some to question the future of Jenny from the block’s overall career.
This week, Lopez’s first Spanish album, “Como Ama Una Mujer,” sold a very measly 49,452 copies, according to hitsdailydouble.com. The album finished at No. 10 for the week, behind a repackaging of Elton John’s greatest hits.
The comparison to Elton John is probably a little unfair given the length of his career and his broad appeal. The article goes on to look at Jennifer’s film career which debuted with critical acclaim when she appeared in Selena as Selena.

Jennifer Lopez‘s first Spanish language album ,Como Ama Una Mujer, release fast approaches (March 27). She worked closely with hubby Marc Anthony on the album and maybe that’s why she chose to release a salsa version of the single, Que Hiciste (click on the link to hear it).
If you’re gonna be in Jenny from the Block’s old borough, the Boogie Down Bronx, you’ll have a chance to meet her and get your copy of Como Ama Una Mujer signed.

You, our own VivirLatino readers, voted Shakira as the most Influential Latina of 2006. The magazine, People en Español, begs to differ. They have chosen Jenny from the block aka Ms. Jennifer Lopez as their Most Influential Hispanic.

En sesión de fotos y entrevista exclusivas para esta edición, la talentosa artista, quien muy pronto tendrá su primer álbum totalmente en español titulado Como ama una mujer, producido por su esposo, Marc Anthony, dice que siente haber madurado como artista y persona, y que recientemente nota que todos sus proyectos se inclinan hacia sus raíces étnicas.
Some of the other Latinos featured in the revista include Shakira, Chilean writer Isabel Allende, Fidel Castro, Carlos Slim Helú, Don Francisco, and Oscar de la Hoya. The issue is on newstands now.
