JLo participated in Vanity Fair’s photo homage to classic Broadway musical made Hollywood classic movie West Side Story. Who was she? Well, Anita no less!
Posing for a glossy, starlet-studded photoshoot with Vanity Fair, Lopez admits, “I never wanted to be that wimpy Maria, who sits around pining for her guy. I wanted to be Anita, who danced her way to the top.” That’s because it’s almost how J.Lo’s career happened, except with more spray-tan and highlights.
Well put! I wonder what Rita Moreno would think. More importantly, what do you think?

According to Daily Intel, Ms. J Lo may be back on the dating market soon enough:
Well, J.Lo and Marc Anthony will do a bittersweet duet at his Valentine’s Day Madison Square Garden show, then announce their divorce, people say. Does that weirdness distract you from your own grumpiness?
If it’s true, I say–can you pick a weirder way to announce a divorce? Oh, and more power to Ms. Lo–never knew quite what she saw in Marc anyway.

I need to find a new apartment and damn if apartments are expensive, especially here in the NYC area. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony just put a mansion they purchased a few years back on the market, pero it’s a little out of my budget.
La mansion was purchased by the pareja back in 2005 and its asking price is $8.5 million dolares. Let’s see, 4 bedrooms, at that price, so each bedroom come to about $4 million dollars each.

As a working mami I’m lucky to have an uninterrupted shower, but Jennifer Lopez, mami to twin 5 month olds has time to prep for a triathlon. According to the always reliable OK! Magazine, the Rican singer/actress/businessmujer/mami is training everyday. And according to her trainer, Gunnar Peterson, she’s doing it without help.
“She may be the most efficient multitasker I know. She literally has every aspect of her life in check,” he says. “She doesn’t have a nanny, a chef or a nutritionist. She makes time for the kids. Family comes first.”
This makes it sound like no one helps her which is um unbelievable. Ay no se maybe bein rich and famous makes you magical and special.

All of celebrity gossip land is abuzz over Ms. Anthony’s recent disclosure that she never let’s the twins wear the same outfit twice:
“Jennifer was approached by a charity and asked to donate some dresses for a celebrity auction. She agreed and donated a gorgeous £5,000 frock.
“She also offered some of Max and Emme’s clothes, telling organisers that she never lets them ‘repeat’ outfits.
“But the auction deals only in adult clothes. Jennifer told them it was a shame, as some items cost over Û1,000 (£500) each.”
Now far be it from me to begrudge a fellow Latin@ such an extravagant lifestyle (really, I do, but I can at least be gracious about how much I begrudge her!), but I did have to wonder if little Max and Emme actually appreciate their mami’s dedicated grooming patterns. New outfits are itchy!

Team Barack Obama might just get his biggest Latino endorsement.
Jennifer Lopez was spotted inside the Senate Office Building for a mysterious meeting inside presumptive Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama’s office.
Hmm what could they have been talking about? Certainly not about her career or her babies. Maybe they’ll make a video together? J. Lo herself was keeping her lips sealed.
When asked what brought her to the Hill, Lopez smiled.
“I’m not ready to do any press yet,” she said, her eyes hidden behind a pair of big, black sunglasses…Rumors circulated that Lopez may be writing Obama a song.
Are you sure she’s not working for Hillary supporters?

I can’t help it if I think Rican babies are beautiful. But I think Max looks way cuter than Emme (or maybe it’s the angle).
I intend to do a post on overbearing Latina mamis but overbearing Latina mamis with millions to spare brings things to a whole ‘nother level.
How many nurses do the babies have? Two. Plus a butler.
Ok so who do you think the babies look like? Papi or mami?

This morning Jenny from the Block became a mami from the block, reportedly giving birth to twins, a girl and boy out in Long Island, NY. The girl came first, weighing in at e 5-pound, 7-ounces, followed by her 6-pound brother minutes later. Those are healthy weights for twins.
No word on what the kidlets are named.

If you believe anything on a show called Escandalo TV (complete with half nekkid dancing chicas) then Jennifer Lopez’s Scientologist papi has confirmed that his daughter from the block is expecting a double bundle of joy.
“They are twins, yes,” David Lopez said on Telefutura’s “Escandalo TV” program. He said his sister had twins. “To be a mother is something Jennifer has wanted for many years,” Lopez said. “I feel superproud.”

We all know that Christina Aguilera hasn’t just been eating too much Ecua food, just like we know Jennifer Lopez hasn’t been scarfing alcapurias. Cristina has finally confirmed that she’s pregnant.
Speaking at her Beverly Hills home in her pyjamas with her husband Jordan Bratman and her dogs, the chart-topper said she had only one New Year’s resolution for 2008. “That’ll be about the time I enter into mommyhood, so” she whispered, “I’m hoping to have started a beautiful family with my husband!” The singer told Glamour magazine.
The magazine hits stands later this week.
