With the focus quicky shifting back to terrorism after the revelation of an alleged airplane bomb plot out of England, immgration activists are trying to keep the heat on. Yesterday the Metropolitan chapter of the National Immigration Coalition announced a mega march of immigrants to take place on September 7th in Washington D.C. So far over 40 organizations from all over the country have signed on to march, with the goal of having a million people participate.

Latino celebs are jumping on the bandwagon to support the rights of all people, including immigrants. The Dia sin Mexicanos boycott, that VL wrote about last week, is featured on Juan Gabriel’s website. The call to participate in the boycott goes so far as to name some big companies that Mexicanos should not buy from on May 1st including major fast food chains and big box retailers. I don’t think Juan Gabriel will be getting any endorsement offers anytime soon.
