“Yes We Can” Says Sen. Clinton

On Saturday, Hillary Rodham Clinton officially suspended her historic bid for the White House. She and Sen. Barack Obama had been the center of a bitter Democratic Presidential Nomination race. Though on this past Tuesday he finally pulled enough of the “super delegates” to win the nomination. Sen. Clinton was ridiculed for her failure to bow out on Tuesday. Many political pundits found her speech more of a victory speech than a concession. So she had her work cut out for her on this past Saturday afternoon when she ended her campaign.

President Clinton , Sen Clinton, Daughter Chelsea, and Mother Dorothy Rodham had all arrived at the National Building Museum in Washington,D.C. late to find thousands of supporters awaiting their entrance. When she finally arrived the crowd roared in applause. She spoke of the barriers she broke for women and the unity of the Democratic party. She spoke highly of Sen. Barack Obama when saying ” I stand with Sen. Barack Obama and say yes we can.” Also adding “the Democratic Party is a family, and now it’s time to restore the ties that bind us together.”

She spoke of the 18 million voters that supported her. She implied she would do anything , some saying that includes the Vice-Presidency.
After watching the speech, I can say this is the real Hillary Clinton that we all should have seen on the campaign trail. I will look in retrospect and write if she started this strong she would have found a different result in the winner of the nomination.

Many say this is the death of the Clinton clan, but I know this is just the beginning for Sen. Clinton’s individual political life. I will predict that she will be back in 2012 if Sen. Obama loses this November. Even in 2016 she will be back if he does win in November and wins reelection. She will be younger than President Ronald Reagan and Sen.John McCain if she does decide to run again in eight years. She has a rather large chance at becoming the Vice-President with 18 million supporters hoping for that outcome. She could even run for the Governorship in New York in 2010. The point is Sen. Hillary R. Clinton is not going anywhere, in fact she is just getting comfortable.

hillary%20clinton.jpgWhat does Hillary want? She asks. Of course she’s not gonna say, I want Barack Obama to fall off the face of the earth. She’s gonna say safe things like I want to end the war in Iraq and I want everyone to have an education, and universal health care.
Of course she’s not gonna say, I want to be vice-president. She’s gonna say she wants people who have been invisible to be seen and an good economy.

What are people chanting? Save her? I can’t tell.

Ok Hillary keeps waving the Puerto Rico flag (verbally anyway). Which is annoying me because well in November Puerto Rico doesn’t matter!

Hillary says she won’t be making any decisions tonight and the crowd goes wild, like she can be the Democratic nominee now? Are they hoping she’ll go independent and give the White House to McCain?

Finally she gets to the finally, after asking people, oh crap did someone just yell don’t vote for Obama. I swear I heard that. Anyway so of course before she finishes she plugs her website, so that her supporters can offer their opinions (and I’m sure- give money).

Oh damn- she mentioned 9-11- 01, the Twin Towers anyway. The 9-11 card.
