First up is my mom!!! Millie Ortiz came from Puerto Rico as a girl and has been in NY ever since. I interviewed her bright and early as the NYC polls opened.

Fred Thompson announced that he is dropping his bid to be the Republican nominee for president. The former Senator from Tennessee said in a statement:
Today,I have withdrawn my candidacy for president of the United States. I hope that my country and my party have benefited from our having made this effort.
Thompson did not say who he would endorse.

So far the Democrats hoping to be the next U.S. President have participated in forums for the Latino community, the African American/black community, the U.S. Indigenous community, and the GLBT community. And the Republicans? Well as a group they seem to only want to debate/participate in forums for the mainstream which by default, let’s be real here, means white middle U.S.
