Disney Goes Latino : Stereotype Style

DISNEY-STUDIOS-MICKEY.jpgWhat do you get when an animated chihuahua gets lost on vacation and meets animated Latinos who try to help her? The latest animated stereotype-fest from Walt Disney. The film, South of the Border, features the voice talents of notable Latinos like Salma Hayek, Andy Garcia, George Lopez, Cheech Marin, Piolin, Paul Rodriguez, Placido Domingo, and Edward James Olmos.

Looks like Disney is trying to cash in on Latino dollars and Latino children. I guess they figure with all the white princesses, one “Middle Eastern” princess, an Asian warrior, and Pocahontas, they need to give the Latinos something too, a dog (voiced by Drew Barrymore).
