Did you know:
In Ciudad Juarez and Chihuahua Mexico, over 400 women and girls have been killed or disappeared in the past thirteen years.An alarming number of these cases remain unsolved.
Federal authorities acknowledge that 177 state officials had acted negligently. Not one of them has been brought to justice.
Incredible, but true. Don’t you agree that something should be done? The Mexican government’s lax attitude toward what is amounting to genocide is disgraceful, and is allowing more and more deaths and disappearances of young Mexican women to take place.

Joan Manuel Serrat, a pop icon from Barcelona with a huge following in Mexico, has announced his participation in a concert in support of the fight against the brutal murders of women in the Mexican border town of Ciudad Juarez:
Conceived to last nearly 10 hours, the concert in homage to the victims and a protest against discrimination of women will take place in Mexico City and count on performances of Benny Ibarra, Elefante, Tres de Copas, Pablo Abraira, Fabgoria and Cristina del Valle, among others.
According to La Jornada daily, presidential candidates will also attend the spectacle, an attempt by the coordinators to get them to commit to an integral law against discrimination of women.
Joan Manuel Serrat will tour seven Mexican cities from January 20 to February 18, including two presentations for street children as closing performances.
