New NY States Gov’s First Agenda Item : Affairs!

He is the first African-American governor in the Empire State and the first legally blind governor in the country. He has a strong reputation as a progressive and is stepping in after Eliot Spitzer resigned following being caught by the Feds paying for sex. All this just in time to pass a New York State budget.

So what’s the first big agenda item Paterson is going to tackle? Education? The economy? Nope, his own affair.

Eliot Spitzer Resigns

Eliot_Spitzer.jpgA few minutes ago, via a press conference that allowed for no questions, NY State Governor Eliot Spitzer resigned, following his being outed as using the services of high priced prostitutes. Spitzer said that effective Monday, March 17th, David Paterson will become governor, becoming the state’s first black and first blind governor.
