My friends have sung the praises of the interactive game Rock Band, and now one of the hottest Rican rock bands is playing it too!
Multiple Latin Grammy award nominees Circo will be showcasing their musical and gaming talents by playing Xbox LIVE® members in Rock Band(TM) on Thursday, July 31, 2008. If you’re an Xbox LIVE Gold member, and you want a chance to play with Circo, send a friend request to the following Gamertags ( *Circo GWF1, *Circo GWF2) and be online half an hour before (3:30 P.M. ET) the Game with Fame session starts on Thursday, July 31, 4:00 P.M. ET.
Circo’s third album, Cursi, is in stores now and it’s a successful mix of the innovative music the band has become known for. As lead singer José Luis Abreu states, “There are stories here, but the record is pretty danceable and radio-friendly. All our songs are an invitation to dance and to celebrate feelings.”
I don’t have an XBox or Rock Band but this sounds like fun!

Circo’s Cursi has been out for about two weeks and if you haven’t heard it yet, especially the first single off the cd, Antes del Fin, here is your chance. We have 15 autographed copies of the cd single Antes del Fin. The first 15 VivirLatino readers to comment with a valid email will get a the cd single sent to them.
Additionally (yes there is more), we have 10 autographed posters of the band, with the image shown in this post. In total that’s 25 items to give away. So comment away!!!!
We’ve been giving you bits and previews of Circo’s new album Cursi but you don’t have to settle anymore. Today the 14 track third album by the band that defies genres is out and it sounds hot! Last week I had a chance to talk to lead singer Fofé, who is from pretty near from where mu abuelo is from in Puerto Rico. Hopefully we’ll have the audio from the interview soon (technology be damned). But Fofé did tell me that the album features some hot producers who have worked with big English language musical acts. He also told me that he was fine with the band’s music not fitting into one tight little genre. That it was more important for them to be true to their musical tastes, integrating many influences. The album is meant to be accessible to all, with universal themes such as falling in and out of love.
You can check out Circo’s Cursi on iTunes and in music stores.
I already gave you a little taste of Circo‘s September 18th release of their album, Cursi. The band is in Mexico shooting the video for the first single from the album, Antes del Fin and boy does it look interesante. What Circo fans should find even more interesting is an interview with Circo right here on VL soon and even some Circo giveaways, so stay tuned!!!
September is looking like a hot month in terms of musica, with many artists dropping new albums. Add Circo to the list of groups, they are scheduled to release Cursi September 18. Last Thursday the band released the first single, “Antes del Fin” (Before the End) from their upcoming album. A mi me gusta. Check it out here. For more on Circo check out their MySpace.
