6.jpgAs soon as I got off the plane at Las Vegas Mccarran Airport, I ran over to the Mandalay Bay to pick up my press credentials. The beautiful hotel was filled with fans lining up to see their favorite Latin artists in town for tonight’s Latin Grammy Awards. From there I took a quick walk through the South Strip hotels, to check into my own. Maybe because it was a weeknight, but the strip wasn’t as crowded as I expected it to be. After a quick costume change, it was off to the BMI official pre-party. More on that later. For now check out some strip pictures after the jump.

Calle 13 wone three Latin Grammy Awards last year, and VL was there. This year VL will be there again to see if they win any of four nominations Residente o Visitante: Album of the Year – Best Urban Music Album – Best Urban Song (“Pal Norte”) and Best Music Video (“Tango del Pecado”). Even they don’t win (they likely will though), the duo will also be performing live in Vegas!

I know I’m gonna piss off alot of people here but doesn’t alot of what Mana does sound the same? Regardless, they are a force to be reckoned with and have a good chance of winning this award.

This guy is so cute! I had never seen the video before but I’m totally swooning over him like the mujeres in the video. Although I don’t know if it’s enough to beat out some of the powerhouses he’s up against.

I feel horribly ignorant because I had never heard of this artist until now. But I think the award will likely go to Ricky Martin, even though Andres Calamaro or Chico Buarque probably deserve it more.

How could I not be behind my fellow Boricua Ricky Martin? He was so gracious when he won Latin Grammys last year, not to mention yummy.
