Calle 13 wone three Latin Grammy Awards last year, and VL was there. This year VL will be there again to see if they win any of four nominations Residente o Visitante: Album of the Year – Best Urban Music Album – Best Urban Song (“Pal Norte”) and Best Music Video (“Tango del Pecado”). Even they don’t win (they likely will though), the duo will also be performing live in Vegas!

las-vegas.jpgIt has been confirmed. VivirLatino (via Maegan la Mala) will be covering the Latin Grammy Awards directly from Las Vegas, where the magic will happen next week on November 8. Actual Latin Grammy coverage will begin when I arrive in sin city, on Wednesday November 7. This is one time where whatever happens in Vegas will not stay in Vegas. It will all be reported to you.

This guy is so cute! I had never seen the video before but I’m totally swooning over him like the mujeres in the video. Although I don’t know if it’s enough to beat out some of the powerhouses he’s up against.

Luis Miguel raised eyebrows at his recent show in Las Vegas not only because his (“she’s not my daughter”) hija Michelle Salas was in attendance, but because of his hairstyle. Mexico’s El Universal calls it Sinatra-esque, and I call it plain old dorky:

While we over here at VivirLatino keep everything crossed that we can bring you the event en persona, we’re going to take an in depth look at all the nominees in all 49 categories. vegas.jpgThe 8th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards are going to Las Vegas for the first time ever. It was announced today that the Latin music awards show will take place at Mandalay Bay Events Center on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007. Nominations for this year’s Latin GRAMMYs will be announced Wednesday, Aug. 29.

Last year VivirLatino had the privilege of attending the Latin Grammy Awards and we hope to do the same again this year.
