This seems like a timely post. I just showed this video to my Sociology students this week. I told them about the rights they have. How we give them up when we don’t know what they are. Our 4th Amendment right (along with several others) has just been taken away by the Arizona decision on SB1070. Although the focus is on young people, I think the information is extremely useful for everyone.
A nonprofit organization called Flex Your Rights created this video and provides it free of charge via their YouTube channel. They have just created a new video: 10 Rules for Dealing With Police. I found this short video about police encounters with three examples of what people may say or do and what our rights are and what to say. (Unfortunately, these videos are only in English and do not have subtitles). The first one is called: What To Do When Stopped By Police. PLEASE share this with people in your community.
Busted! A Citizens Guide To Surviving Police Encounters can be seen in full below.

Racial profiling does not work and I’ll prove it to you:
You’re sitting on a park bench at dusk in New York City’s Central Park. On the bench to your left are five African American teenagers. On the bench to your right are five white, middle-aged, overweight and balding Wall Street bankers.
QUESTION:
Which group is more likely to rob you of everything you own?
‘Nuff said?
