More Than 50,000 Signatures to Stop SB 1070

Arizona Governor Brewer is keeping mum on if she will sign SB 1070 or not, only saying that she will do the right thing. The comunidad sure isn’t keeping quiet though. There’s been a strong petition campaign (as well as a call-in campaign) urging Brewer to veto the bill.

On Tuesday, a coalition of organizations including Border Action Network, Presente.org, Alto Arizona!, America’s Voice, Reform Immigration FOR America, United Farm Workers, and the National Council of la Raza delivered more than 50,000 signatures asking the governor to veto SB 1070.

My concern is that despite all the calls, emails, signatures and walk-outs, Brewer may just let the bill become a law by not doing anything.
