Join A Whole Lot of People and Congressman Raúl Grijalva in an anti-SB 1070 Rally!

The rally will be this Saturday, April 24th at 9 am and will take place at the Grijalva Headquarters located at 452 S. Stone Ave. Tucson, AZ 85701. Please bring your signs and tell Governor Brewer that you will not stand for this!

This legislation exposes ALL Arizonan’s to unnecessary prejudice. Help Congressman Raúl Grijalva advocate for serious immigration reform not this humiliating display of racism by the Arizona State Legislature!

Watch the following video, as Congressman Grijalva expressed his opinion on this issue on Keith Olbermann last night!

I’m an occupational therapist with 12 years experience, and my job is helping physical rehab of sick and injured people and working with kids with developmental disabilities. This is a profession that is in such high demand in the SW that I routinely have recruiters from healthcare agencies calling me and ask if I’m willing to come work for them. I lived in Tucson for 5 years, and it is one the best places I ever lived.

I have recently been talking with recruiters about finding a job back in Arizona. I am licensed there and also New Mexico. I was offered two attractive positions, one in NM and one in AZ.

The cold, hard fact is that due to this law, AZ is losing me as tax payer, and as a professional. This is hurting the state. Incidentally, I am a white guy, 45, and a veteran.

I work for a large organization that has meetings in Arizona. Today that ends. I’m Hispano, not from Mexico, and while I can’t do much about the racist politics, I can vote with my and our pocket book. Arizona=apartheid!

By they way most americans think all Latino people ares mexicans because the conservatives and tea baggers are so stupid. I usually don’t have any issues correcting them but today all hispanics regardless of original are Mexican.

Down with apartheid! Down with hate! And if that does not work hit them where it counts with their pocket books!
