Homophobic Hate Crime Against Latino in Broklyn, NYC

Angering news coming out of Brooklyn. About a week ago a Latino was physically attacked as he walked out of a bar by another group of Latinos yelling homophobic slurs at him.

From the N.Y. Daily News:

The attackers, who were also Latinos, called the victim a “f—-t” and punched him numerous times in the face, knocking him down and causing him to suffer a gash on the back of his head, police sources said.

This should remind us something:sometimes we are are own worse enemy. How sad is it that we have people in our own community willing to hurt our own. Who needs racists when we internalize so much hate? I wonder if the Latino attackers remember the case of Jose Sucuzhanay who was killed for being an immigrant Latino and for being perceived as gay?

Thank you for underlining the point that this is not a gay issue but an issue that involves the whole community. Lets stand up for each other not against!!
