Official VivirLatino Statement on Lou Dobbs Leaving CNN

Because everyone else is doing it.

Correction, because everyone else doing it and I want to do it too but a little differently.

Because VivirLatino was reached out by various organizations spearheading the Basta Dobbs and Drop Dobbs campaign to endorse the added pressure on CNN, its advertisers, and Lou Dobbs.

Because Lou Dobbs is no longer on CNN.

Because we’re pretty damn sure that while one platform has closed for Dobbs, the number of hate comments/mail that VivirLatino has received for our coverage of Dobbs and our support for his leaving CNN proves that there is still a public who accepts his distortion of reality when it comes to undocumented immigrants and Latinos as factual news. Dobbs still has daily radio show
broadcast by more than 160 stations as part of the United Stations Radio Networks Inc. He has his lifetime membership to the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, which put out their own statement welcoming Dobbs’ leaving the news network. Some of the latest political bochinche has Dobbs possibly running for Senate in New Jersey (information gleaned from the NY Post which we will not link to). We should also add that reports have Dobbs leaving CNN with $8 million in severance pay.

Don’t get us wrong. Struggles and movements need victories and this is one and we should celebrate it pero not for too long. Dobbs is already doing the show circuit and he will continue to spew his racist nonsense. The real problem is that his nonsense talks comes at a time when the U.S. Government makes statement after statement about the need for immigration reform, while separating families first and writing legislation later. Pero that’s a whole different post or a dozen.

It is not racist to want illegal aliens to go back to there own country and apply to come here legally. You are breaking our laws and we don`t like it and we are not going allow you to continue to rape our country and take our jobs. GET USED TO IT…. Lou Dobbs is my hero! He speaks nothing but the truth. I know you people don`t know much about the truth. You can`t talk your self into believing the lies that are comeing out of your mouth. You should be ashamed of your selves for doing what you know is a lie and then take it out on a true american like Lou Dobbs.

Lou Dobbs , Was always telling us about the truth, He said breaking the law was not good. I think he is correct . If you break the law then your deserve to get punished . It seems that the law breakers were against Dobbs , these law breakers feel they are better then us law abiding Americans.
Support Dobbs and you support the law , If you hate Dobbs then you hate Americans who respect our laws. . .. Walt US Navy Vetern

I can’t believe CNN has caved to this kind of tyranny, Lou only ask why we didn’t enforce the laws we already
have. no one has ever answered his question. He ask the tough questions and apparently CNN doesn’t have the guts to stand by him and the Americans that would like for the laws we have to be enforced. I have watched CNN since june 1, 1980 and the reason is because in the past CNN has reported non bias news. Removing Lou Dobbs is sensoring the People who believe the laws that we have are important. Ignoring the laws we don’t like leads to comunism.
“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing” I will not watch CNN again until this is made right. In the late 1930’s & 40’s if we would have had twenty or thirty million Germans infiltrate america EDWARD R. MURROW would have been shouting from the roof top. It seems that today it’s politically correct to give our country away. If the courageous men and women that have died could see what is being done to their country they would be sad. If our four fathers had given in to every politically correct thing we would still have taxation without represntation. If all the news men and women at CNN stand still for this every thing you do and say will be of none effect. I DARE YOU TO PUT THIS ON THE CAFFERTY FILE.

Here again when people have good unanswered questions they are called racist haters and asses. My view is the one and only way to prove any assertions to be false is with directly related responses that in direct contadiction or make the assertions illogical, no one has done that for seven years with Lou’s assertions. Believing on comes from a logical rational argument that cannot and has not been disproven. There has been rhetoric on the good the illegal pop. do, etc. etc. but not directly related to the assertions. If you don’t like a law you become a citizen and work to change the law. I cannot go into any Latin country and blatantly disobey their laws and customs!! come on prove the data wrong then we can talk.

dmac,

Isn’t that what the immigration “reform” movement is about ? Changing the law? Change however cannot happen in an environment of fear though which is what Dobbs contributed to. And I am erasing your second comment because while I understand your point, I will not accept the use of “illegals” or oppression olympics
