29 Oct 2009Ai, dios mio, what in the hell is going on with old people preying on youth??? The latest horror filled story reaching the air waves is the story of Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo, a teacher who allegedly “had sex” (i.e. raped) a 13-year-old child.
The surprising thing for me with this is that the woman is Latina. There have been many stories of women teachers raping their students, but almost universally, the teacher is a white woman raping a boy of color (think: Mary Kay Letourneau). I’m really not sure how to wrap my mind around a woman of color using her position of power to rape a child.
And let’s be clear on that, this is a rape (if something indeed did happen). I don’t care if she’s “muy caliente” or a “bad bad” teacher. If she had sex with a 13-year-old, she *raped* a 13-year-old, and we need to all stop pretending that young boys don’t get as violated and traumatized by rape as young girls do.

I’ve covered several cases of women molesting boys and while “Whites” often are seen as indulging in pedophilia more often (and this would include many Latinas,no? There are White people in Latin and Central America just as there are Blacks, Indians etc) I can tell you that child exploitation in general, and female teachers exploiting boys in particular, has no racial boundaries. Black, White, Latino, Asian etc I have come across every ethnicity there is in stories like this.
Claiming that child rape is an exclusively a “White’ crime is not just factually wrong it’s rank bigotry masquarading as commentary. Were I to point out that because the statutory age in 7 (I think it’s seven) Mexican states is 12 for girls thus we should ensure mexican immigrants understand the different expectations of behavior we have in America in some way you’d claim i was some sort of Bi-racial klansmen. But you can seriously put forward the nonsense that teachers raping children is a “White” crime on a blog that complains about the supposed racism of having a common language (we used to call having several languages become official Ghettoization) and not bat an eye.
Strange. But maybe I just don’t understand, being so inferior to Latinos.

rob–i don’t see people as “indulging” in pedophilia, first of all, i see them raping children. second: i never said “whites rape more often,” I said I was shocked to hear it was a woman of color, because almost universally, the women teachers I’ve heard of raping little boys are white. if that is faulty news coverage or the truth, who knows. what I know is that what *i’ve heard* is white women raping little boys of color.
third. i know that child exploitation has no boundaries. fourth: i never claimed that child rape was “exclusively white crime.” fifth: the government itself points that out to mexican men (that cultural expectations are different here in the U.S. than in Mexico. there was a campaign a while back taking on exactly that–older men dating and marrying girls.) sixth: i never said that children raping teachers is a white crime.
and seventh: it’s odd that I would cover this story AND sit in condemnation of this woman the way I did when you have decided that I think only white women rape children–if I felt like child rape was an exclusively white crime, I’m sure that I would’ve said something along the lines of “I don’t believe it, I’ve only ever seen white women raping boys of color, I wonder if there’s a vendetta against this woman.” But I didn’t say that. Instead I said, I don’t care if this woman is “muy caliente,” or hot, or a very special christmas tree–I said–if she did have sex with this boy, she actually *raped* this boy and it’s time to stop pretending otherwise.
odd. maybe I just don’t understand the right way to say things so that white people will stop misinterpreting my words. being so inferior to them and all.

No offense, but you think only white women prey on youth? With that mindset you will set yourself up for shock, but the truth is many people in position of power have done bad things. More than often it is men who have done these bad things, but more and more there are cases of women doing this too. It is not good to make a presumption about someone’s race, just saying!

Female pedophiles don’t just rape 13-year-old boys. They rape all ages of children and those that defend them are guilty of condoning the sexual abuse of innocent children. Parent’s educate yourselves on the real threat that female pedophiles pose to OUR children and if you suspect a woman is having inappropriate relations with your child please report your suspicions s to the authorities immediately.

In reply to Lena:-
“A child molester is a child molester. It doesn’t matter what race you are, what gender you are, what creed you are. If you are an adult and you touch a child in a sexual manner, you’re a child molester,” said prosecutor Brittany Blau.

perhaps the latina teacher lost her virginity at 12 or 13 (age of ‘consent’ in Mexico, no? and devlopped an equally warped view of the ability of a child to handle it. and yes, the U.S. has “different cultural expectations” as La Macha put it — it’s called LAWS that criminalize child molestation, domestic violence, pedophilia, etc. pretty significant difference, no? Welcome to the U.S.
