I’ve written extensively on 287(g) and it’s recent expansion and how it is essentially presented as separate from the immigration reform debate, even by DC orgs and insiders, while clearly laying the groundwork for a Comprehensive Immigration Reform policy that criminalizes Latinos. Amigo Nezua from The Unapologetic Mexican made an amazing little film that breaks down the program and the problems with it.
