More Hate Crimes Against Latinos : New Jersey Colombian beaten to Near Death

i806059.jpgWhile the Feds investigate patterns and practices of hate crimes and their cover ups in Suffolk County, while the alleged (trying to be all legal and proper)killers of Marcelo Lucero get more indictments against them for other attacks that preceded his death, more Latinos are being assaulted for being Latino.

The latest known attack comes out of New Jersey, where last week Colombian Wilter Sánchez was beaten to the point of requiring reconstructive surgery. There shouldn’t be any doubt as to the intentions of those that attacked Sanchez.

(Sánchez’ cousin Fernando) Quinchia claimed that after Sánchez was beat up the men returned to their car and tried to run him over.

And here’s where people get flustered. The attackers were not all white.

Authorities have detained five African-Americans, three of them minors, and have accused them of robbery and…added charges of assault…

Does this mean we dismiss the crime and say it wasn’t racist because the attackers were other people of color who themselves belong to a group that are systematically attacked? Or do we take a deeper look at who is controlling the message being sent out through the mainstream news wires and other powers that be regarding who is to blame for the economic problems in this country. It’s called classic divide and conquer politics that serve no one pero the big banks and companies and their government patrons who are more than happy to distract our gaze, sit back and watch us kill each other so they can claim clean hands.
