Israel : What is the Purpose…..

…in bombing a neonatal clinic? So that Palestinian babies who need medical care can’t get it. So that will die and not tell the story of you are doing?

The charity Christian Aid says a clinic for mothers and babies in Gaza, which it funds along with the EU, has been destroyed in an Israeli air strike.

The clinic, which was run by the Near East Council of Churches, was struck by a missile after a 15-minute warning was sent to the building’s owners.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of medical equipment was destroyed by the strike, which happened on Saturday.

Christian Aid said the destroyed clinic, which was located in a two-storey building in the Shujaiya district of Gaza City, provided free primary healthcare to the local community, including mother and child clinics, neo-natal care, family planning.

The family living in the apartment on the floor above the clinic managed to get out just before a warning shot was fired by an Israeli air force jet, it added.

Moments later, the building – which the charity said was clearly marked with the insignia of the Red Cross and had ambulances parked outside – was struck by a missile fired by the aircraft.

The clinic was completely destroyed in the attack, along with valuable medical equipment, including ultrasound machines, laboratory apparatus, and computers, which are not freely available in Gaza.

Constantine Dabbagh, executive director of the NECC in Gaza, said another of its clinics had been closed for two weeks because the owners of a neighbouring building had received repeated warnings from the Israeli military that it was about to be bombed.

What pathetic excuse can the IDF possibly come up with for this? It’s a goddamn clinic. What, the babies and the nurses and the moms were hiding Hamas rockets under the sheets? WTF.

The purpose of the IDF is to pound Hamas back into the stone age so they will never have the capability to launch any more rockets at Israel. Hamas is like the little kid with the big stick that likes to sneak up and poke the big kid (Israel) then run and hide until he wants to sneak up and take another poke. Israel has had enough of this tactic and will not be stopped from putting an end to the radical Islamic terrorist group Hamas once and for all. How many Hamas launched rockets would have to land in your backyard before you retaliated? I bet it wouldn’t be the 3,000+ that hit Israel before they decided enough is enough.

Oops, no fair, Eyes. If I have to feel compassion and love for the Israeli’s who are suffering (which I do), then you need to feel compassion for the Palestinians who are suffering. Which, technically means not encouraging the pounding of Palestinians into the stone age.

If we can feel compassion for ALL involved–then we may actually be able to get somewhere. can YOU hold up your end of the bargin?

I personally can feel no compassion for Hamas, but can for the people that are caught in the middle of the fighting because of Hamas. Hamas, the governing power of Palestine, is a radical Islamic terrorist organization with the following agenda:

Ideology:
Hamas preaches and engages in violence and terror in order to destroy the state of Israel and replace it with an Islamic state. Its virulent hatred of Jews and Judaism is deeply rooted in the anti-Semitic writings of Muslim Brotherhood theologians.

In August 1988, Hamas issued its Covenant laying down its ideological principles and goals. Replete with anti-Semitism, it echoes the notorious Protocols of the Elders of Zion and charges Jews with an international conspiracy to gain control of the world. In Hamas’ worldview, Islamic precepts forbid a Jewish state in the area known as Palestine, the Jewish people have no legitimate connection to the land of Israel and Yasir Arafat is a traitor to the Islamic Palestinian cause. As the Hamas Covenant proclaims, “The land of Palestine is an Islamic trust… It is forbidden to anyone to yield or concede any part of it… Israel will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it…”

As long as the people of Palestine are under control of this organization there will be no peace in that region, ever. Hamas must be destroyed at all costs, though some of the cost will be civilians. War is hell, but a fact of life all over the Middle East. Has been since forever and will not stop until all radical Islamic terrorist groups are destroyed.

Ok consider this an official warning cuz my ass is tired. Talk of Palestinians as if they have no mind of their own and are all under the control of radical Islam is ridiculous. If you want to continue to deny the issue of colonialism, and it’s impact, and if you are going to continue to say oh well to the loss of Palestinian life while clearly valuing Israeli life over and rather just make this an issue of anti-semitism, I know of a ton of media spaces who would be pleased to have you. Here, not so much.

You cannot destroy an idea. Hamas is an idea. Every member can be killed, its still going to live on and grow again unless you address the reasons for its establishment.

If you support the right for Israel to defend itself then you must also support the Palestinian right to defend.

Maegan is absolutely right, people have choices. Right now Hamas is in control, when Hamas no longer serves the will of the people it will lose control. Bombing hospitals and UN sponsored schools will not quicken the process.

The problem with colonialist powers is they always want to have a democracy, but only if the person they want wins. Arafat and Erekat and Ashrawi were as moderate as they come, Israel and the US chose to push for more elections after neglecting this trio. Now they have something worse. If you show people that their democracy won’t be recognized, they have no incentive to seek change.
