Gaza Update From Al Jazeera

This is so awful, so disturbing. I am just sick watching it.

I got this video from Huffington Post, which did a really nice job of showing why independent media (or media that is not supported by mainstream corporations) is so vitally necessary.

Thanks for posting this. Via a comment in the Huffpost link I’ve discovered and downloaded what seems like a really great program called Livestation. I’m watching a high quality stream of Al Jazeera English now!

So, where were all you bleeding hearts for the past year or so that Hamas was attacking Israel with rockets on almost a daily basis? Where is all the sympaty for the Israelis that were either killed or mangled by the rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip? Israel has every right to defend themselves and put an end to Hamas once and for all. Hamas is to blame for the current situation and perhaps once this is all over, Hamas will no longer want to pick a fight with anyone else, especially Israel.

Oh, Eyes. You’re so sweet. Always remembering more people we can feel compassion for. Thank you so much.

Ansel, thanks for letting us know about that! I wanted to try it out, but I’m always worried about using features like that.

I enjoyed this post, though I would not call Al-Jazeera independent media. Have any groups passed our cameras to the Palestinians to record what is happening much like the cameras passed out in the West Bank to record the conflicts with settlers?
