Our amigos at Voto Latino just released the the final episode of their get out the vote spoof telenovela La Pasión de la Decisión. It features Rosario Dawson, Wilmer Valderrama, Tony Plana, Mayte Garcia y otros acting melodramatically TelemundoUnivision style.

We’ll feature an episode everyday as we get closer to election day. Part one asks the burning question, would you marry/date/sleep with someone who wasn’t registered to vote?

These videos are great. A good way to use the telenovela style to encourage Latinas and Latinos to vote. We will definitely be making a huge difference on November 4th.

I hope that this is not too off-topic from the comment on the video, but I would love to let any fellow New Yorkers know about voting for Sen Obama on Row “E”. I am involved in politics in New York and lots of working people are voting for Obama on the Working Families Party ballot line- Row “E”.

It’s a really great option we have here in New York where fusion voting is available. For anyone who is not familiar with it, fusion voting lets us vote for Barack Obama on the Working Families Party line- Row “E”, and they still count for his Democratic votes!

Voting our values on the Working Families Party line- Row “E” is a way to express our values, that of fair wages, good education and affordable health care, without wasting our votes.

Check out the website for more information: http://www.workingfamiliesparty.org/obama/

Gracias :)
