Absentee voters in upstate New York just got their ballots and Barack Obama isn’t on the ballot. Barack Osama is though. No I didn’t type wrong pero someone did and it needs to be fixed, stat.

The absentee ballots sent to voters in Rensselaer County identified the two presidential candidates as “Barack Osama” and “John McCain.”…The elections office faxed a statement in which the two commissioners, Democrat Edward McDonough and Republican Larry Bugbee, said they regret the error but never acknowledge what the error was.

“It’s human error, it’s very unfortunate, it’s an embarrassment to our office, obviously,” McDonough said in a later phone interview. “We wish we could turn back the clock, but we can’t.”

When they discovered the mistake, officials shredded the remaining “Osama” ballots and mailed correct versions to the roughly 300 people who had already received them. McDonough said the “Osama” mistake was made in only one of the 13 ballot versions mailed throughout the county, located east of the state capital of Albany.

Latinos Say No Gracias McCain

mccain.jpgAs both presidential candidates take their immigration talk to Spanish only ads, it seems that John McCain’s numbers are taking the biggest hit when it comes to that oh so coveted “Latino vote”.

Polls show Obama winning the broadest support from Latino voters of any Democrat in a decade, while McCain is struggling to reach 30 percent, closer to Senator Bob Dole’s dismal 1996 result than to Bush’s historic 40% four years ago.

Some blame McCain’s lack of ties in the Latino community, others point to his flip-flopping on immigration reform and speaking out of both sides of his mouth depending on the audience.

What neither candidate is talking about is the raids that keep happening behind the spotlight of debates and conventions.

MigrantWorkersREX_468x236.jpgContinuing the theme of taking care of our Latin@ bodies, I found this very important article from the Chattanooga Times about the level of workplace injuries the Latin@ community deals with. It starts off with a very familiar story:

About a month ago, Ismael Ávila was hit by a car.

At work for a local paving company, he was pushing a large blower along a newly paved driveway when he suddenly found himself flying over the machine.

“The next thing I remember was waking up at the hospital,” Mr. Ávila said in Spanish.

Aren’t terrified already? Prepare yourself!

Things are steadily getting worser and worser in the economic world. Bush came out today to tell us all that everything is fine, just fine, no need to panic–but I think I saw some fire streaming from his britches before he left the podium.

MSNBC doesn’t bother with the pretending, they scream it like it is, with the proper amount of intensity: IS THIS THE END OF AMERICAN CAPITALISM???

I don’t know if it is or isn’t–but I will admit to being completly terrified. If this is what they wanted, they got it!

Story.jpgLittle Mommy Real Loving Baby Cuddle and Coo from Fisher Price may look like your average battery powered doll, pero really it’s the latest tool of satanist and radical Islam (who apparently have teamed up) That’s right. Just as your little Jane or Jack are playing with their doll, the doll comes to life a la Chucky proclaiming:

Satan is king,” and clearly speak “Islam is the light.”…

Don’t you hear it!?
