LAMC Fun Continues Tonight

The fun has already begun. I'm just waiting to upload some videos of last night's BMI's Verano Alternativo showcase at S.O.B's, so I can share the amazing musical acts I was exposed to.

In the meantime, I plan for today.

At some point in the afternoon, I need to head to the Roosevelt Hotel, to officially register and get mi badge (with two kids- this should be fun).

Then somehow, I have to be at two places at one time!

From 6-10 there is the LAMC Music & Film Night at Central Park Summerstage

featuring Bragging Rights: Stickball Stories, a film by Sonia N. Gonzalez, and Machito: A Latin Jazz Legacy a film by Carlos Ortiz, with musical performance by CuCu Diamantes of Yerba Buena and introduction by Andres Levin.

I really want to see this because I know Sonia, the director of Bragging Rights, but I don't think I'll have babysitting by then.

I will have babysitting to go to the LAMC/ES Música VS GoTV Indie Showcase @ The Mercury Lounge (217 E Houston St), from

Performances by Forro in the Dark (Brazil), Zigmat (New York), Pilar Diaz (Los Angeles), Allá (Chicago), Guajiro (Puerto Rico/Miami), Don Tetto (Colombia), MySpace Latino Sponsored Band Afrobeta (Miami). Hosted by Sandra Sampayo of GoTV.
