The Differences Bewteen Barack Obama and John McCain on Immigration

9:27 am By Jennifer Woodard Maderazo · Immigration| US Presidential Race 2008

mccainobama.jpgImmigration reform is on the minds of many Latino voters. Alternet and La Opinion both look at the differences and similarities between the two presidential candidates on the issue (and yes there are some things they share). For example, both Barack Obama and John McCain support construction of a wall at the southern U.S. border.
McCain is opposed to the DREAM Act, which would benefit undocumented students and Obama supports it. McCain opposes the idea of giving driver’s licenses to the undocumented, while Obama favors
the proposal.
