Jenny from the Block to Endorse Barack Obama?

jlopez.jpgTeam Barack Obama might just get his biggest Latino endorsement.

Jennifer Lopez was spotted inside the Senate Office Building for a mysterious meeting inside presumptive Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama’s office.

Hmm what could they have been talking about? Certainly not about her career or her babies. Maybe they’ll make a video together? J. Lo herself was keeping her lips sealed.

When asked what brought her to the Hill, Lopez smiled.
“I’m not ready to do any press yet,” she said, her eyes hidden behind a pair of big, black sunglasses…Rumors circulated that Lopez may be writing Obama a song.

Are you sure she’s not working for Hillary supporters?

John McCain has a Republican Problem

10:41 am By Jennifer Woodard Maderazo · US Presidential Race 2008 · Comments Off

mccain_poor_guy.jpgForget about Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s Latino problems, he has a problem within his own party. The Hill reports:

At least 14 Republican members of Congress have refused to endorse or publicly support Sen. John McCain for president, and more than a dozen others declined to answer whether they back the Arizona senator.

One reason is a four letter word. No, not what McCain called his wife, but Iraq. Some have cited his energy plan. Others are playing word games by saying they support McCain but haven’t endorsed him.

So while there is much focus on the assumed disunity of the Democratic party, seems the GOP has a similar problem.

Chilean Airplane that Vanished Days Ago Found With Survivors

6:41 am By Jennifer Woodard Maderazo · Chile · Comments Off

12 Jun 2008

_44739098_chile_ap226b.jpgFor the past few days, I have been following the story on TV Nacional de Chile on the search for a single-engine Cessna and its passengers that just vanished in the 11th region of Chile. The area in Aysen has been called the Chilean Bermuda Triangle because of a few planes that have presumably crashed in the heavily forested area and not found. Late yesterday this plane, that had been traveling from the southern port city of Puerto Montt to a village known as La Junta, was found, with 9 of its 10 inhabitants alive and not seriously injured. There was one, casualty, the pilot of the plane.
