A Trip to the INS…err…CIS

This silly video pokes fun at the technological and customer service advances made by our nation’s Citizenship and Immigration Services offices.

I have to admit this is pretty true to life when I compare it to recent trips to my local post office.

Seriously I don’t even know what to say in response to this video without going off. Talk about being blinded by privilege. Ferraro continues to attack and react instead of stepping back and covering the ass she showed when she made that “lucky black man” comment. Now she’s saying that Obama’s campaign is playing the race card and that they owe her an apology.
Note how Ann Curry repeats those same comments back, because she herself can’t believe it.

Go ahead wait for your apology woman, I’m waiting for a few myself.

Enter Geraldine Ferraro who stepped down from her honorary post in the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign because she reminded Barack Obama (and all people of color in powerful positions) just how lucky he is:

“If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”

immigration.jpgYesterday House Republicans made a move to force the Shuler/Tancredo “SAVE Act” to a vote on the floor. This “discharge petition” is a special procedural motion that would allow the sponsors of the Shuler-Tancredo bill to take it straight to the floor of the House without having to go through the full committee process and then force a vote.

The bill would force all employers, within four years, to use the E-verify employment authorization verification system, which has been criticized as flawed, for all workers—new hires and current workers.
