…And that according to many, is reason enough for him to resign. Seems that the man who allegedly was all about ant-corruption was well corrupted at the low low price of $1,000-an-hour . Spitzer was caught, via FBI wiretap, arranging to meet with a prostitute in Washington last month. In the tapes he is identified as client #9 aka George Fox client of the Emperor’s Club. Now that’s taking leading the Empire State a little too far.
In a press conference that followed the information being released, Spitzer, with his wife by his side, pretty much made an admission of guilt, but probably not one that hold up in court if he was indeed indicted, because every wife knows that the only time a man apologizes is when he’s guilty of something.
Now. I’m not against prostitution , or a man going to a prostitute even if that man happens to be governor of the state where I live. But that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be glad to see Spitzer resign. I have personal beef with him anyway stemming from a meeting I had with him years ago, when he was State Attorney General, and he refused to do anything for the family of hate crimes victim Manny Mayi. And let’s not forget how Spitzer backed then backed out of supporting driver’s licenses for undocumented immigrants.

He is kind of easy to hate, to put it mildly….but it’s bizarre that “using a prostitute’s services” is being headlined as “is part of a prostitution ring” (in other media, not here thank god).
Seems to me there’s a BIG difference beween the two charges; he must have pissed off some very powerful people for this to be getting that kind of play. Still don’t like him, but it’s not like he invaded a country or anything…

I think that’s part of the agenda to discredit him and also lay down the path for prosecution. I think that’s just sensationalism- something the mainstream media is really good at.
