Shakira Among Hair Icons

A new advertising campaign for Sunsilk shampoo puts the lovely Shakira in the ranks of Marilyn Monroe and Madonna…at least when it comes to “hair icons”:

I found this on the Just Jared blog, where a debate has broken out on whether or not Shakira is “iconic” enough to share the spotlight with M and MM. What do you think?

I think so. She’s a worldwide icon and she has MUCH better hair than Madonna ever did.

Of course she is good enough. Shakira it’s only 30 years old and it’s already a huge multimillion album seller global pop star.

She is charming and intelligent– but I just can’t figure out why people love her music so much– she must have a very good business manager and stock brocker– or with her sex appeal and high IQ she does it all? She earned $38millions dollars last year for gods sake. Oral fixation or self-agrandization? Too bad about the voice

To jaren: The thing that I think :) people like -about Shakira’s music (or voice) is that it is unique, different from the many many others “artists” out there. Also, many people (including myself) take into consideration the fact that she writes her own songs and is on top of all the recording process (videos, choreography, lyrics, music, her own make-up & wardrobe, etc.) While, it seems that she is not that famous or liked in the US (except for Hips dont lie) in the rest of the world she is hot hot (and not only physically) perhaps you could ask them!!!
