Miss Puerto Rico Attacked With Makeup

The winner of Miss Puerto Rico Universe'08, Ingrid Marie Rivera, certainly wasn't a favorite to someone (or some people) because her evening gowns and makeup were doused with pepper spray causing her to break out in hives. The alleged incident took place before Ms. Rivera was declared a finalist. According to today's El Diario - La Prensa, Rivera's bag, with her gowns, makeup, and credit cards was also stolen.

Onstage, the Dorado , Puerto Rico native was the picture of grace and elegance but backstage she she needed ice packs on her face and body, which were covered in hives.

The contest was just plagued by bad luck. On the last day of the competition there was a bomb threat that was postponed the pageant.

After all that happened, Ms Rivera said she had considered quitting the contest."At one point I said, 'Am I a masochist?" But later I thought, "I am with God and this is my goal, regardless of the results," the beauty shared.

Just goes to shwo you that no good can come of beauty pageants.
