Francisco Pancho Navarro Brings His Sweet Guitar

Chances are you've heard Argentino guitarist Francisco Pancho Navarro before and not even known it. Who hasn't heard the haunting soundtrack of the film Frida? Maybe you like the 2006 Rolling Stones remake of I'm Free? Pancho has backed the likes of Celia Cruz, Victor Jara, and even Paulina Rubio. At long last , today he released his first solo cd, aptly titled “Sweet Guitar” .
Sweet Guitar is a rambling tour of Latin America, featuring music from Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. Some of the songs are his own, some by others but regardless, the entire cd is a delight to listen to, alone perhaps with a glass of vinito or even better in the company of friends.
Tonight Pancho comes to New York City, " the city I have looked up to ever since I was a kid, and considered to be the most important place for a musician's career", Pancho says in the liner notes of his cd.
Pancho's music is moving on cd, live it is undoubtedly amazing. Comes listen and celebrate this long overdue achievement.
