19 Nov 2007The Grammy award-winning Spanish pop group La Oreja de Van Gogh (called badly dressed by some and fingernails on the chalkboard [see video for evidence] by me) is splitting up:
The singer of the Donostia group says “everyone who follows me and loves knows that this has been the most difficult decision of my life. The 11 years I’ve spent in La Oreja de Van Gogh and everything I have lived with them will always been in my heart and in my mind, but I felt that this is the moment to begin a new stage in my life, starting a solo career, which is both exciting and scary for me.”
While official headlines say the group is splitting, the rest of the members are actually set to release an album, sans singer Amaia Montero, in 2008.
