I was beginning to think it was all bad in Chavez’s Venezuela, what with the disappearance of telenovelas and beer. But Huguito has gone and done something I’m sure many will be happy about: he’s trying to push forward a change to the constitution which will limit the workday to 6 hours.
But before you go out and buy a Chavez t-shirt, the rest of his proposed constitutional amendments are less fun; among them the elimination of the right to information and the elimination of the right to due process “during periods of exception decreed by the government,” reports Spain’s 20 Minutos.
Okay, I promise no more Chavez news until next week. Unless he doesn’t something loco, which is possible.
