Iran Keeping Picasso and Miro in the Basement
The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art may contain the largest collection of Western Art outside of the west but works by greats including Spanish painters like Picasso and Miro but most won't see them. And while many will say it's an example of Iranian censorship and anti-Western sentiment, the reasons given an a Los Angeles Times article range from a lack of space to protecting the paintings.
