wbaron112.jpgDiego Montoya (a.k.a. “Don Diego”), one of the FBI’s most wanted and one of the most elusive drug kingpins in the world, was captured in Colombia on Monday by Colombian authorities:

Diego Montoya, who goes by the alias “Don Diego”, was the top boss of the Norte del Valle cartel, believed to be responsible for 70 percent or two-thirds of the cocaine exported from Colombia to Europe and the U.S. The cartel is also believed responsible for more than a thousand murders.

Montoya was taken after being cornered in his underwear, and trying to negotiate with his captors by offering them 5 million dollars.

Montoya will remain in Colombian custody for questioning, then sent to Miami upon extradition to the U.S. The FBI, which considers Montoya as the world’s biggest drug dealer, is calling this arrest the biggest blow to illegal drug trade in decades.

Fidel Castro may be out of the public eye but he sure perking up ears with his ill timed comments about September 11, 2001 conspiracy theories.

In an essay read by a Cuban television presenter Tuesday night, Castro said the Pentagon was hit by a rocket, not a plane, because no traces were found of its passengers.”Today one knows there was deliberate misinformation,”"Studying the impact of planes, similar to those that hit the Twin Towers, that had accidentally fallen on densely populated cities, one concludes that it was not a plane that crashed into the Pentagon,” Castro said.”Only a projectile could have caused the geometrically round hole that allegedly was made by the plane,” he said.”We were fooled like the rest of the planet’s inhabitants,” he wrote.

I know there are many out there who actually believe this theory but for a head of state to say it and on the anniversary? Just not nice.

JLo doesn’t care about fashion creds

12.jpgPop diva Jennifer Lopez debuted her new fashion lineup “JustSweet” yesterday at New York’s Fashion Week, and while JLo is proving to be prolific in cranking out the designs, she says she doesn’t care if she’s taken seriously on that front:

“I’m not looking for the credibility,” she said. “I’m looking to make clothes that every woman can wear.”

And with that, JLo means that her clothes are accessible to women of an income level significantly lower than her own. JustSweet — which JLo calls a was “fantasy — classic inspiration but with a new, kind of funky spin” — is priced from $49-$99 per piece.
