Will Ladrón Just Steal Your Time and Money This Weekend?

With Miguel Varoni (Pedro el Escamoso), Fernando Colunga, and Saúl Lisazo (yum I like him), Ladrón Que Roba a Ladrón is either like a really long novela episode or a Latinized version of Ocean's 11 (depending on your tastes). It opens today in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco and Jacksonville, Fla.

I haven't seen it and doubt I will (this weekend anyway). So who has seen it and how was it?

I don't think she made a judgment. She asked a question. But I'll be a "pendeja" and say that judging from the trailer and the fact that I find Fernando Colunga to be a terrible actor, there's a pretty good chance that this movie will suck. But you're right, that's the beauty of free speech, though the personal attacks are unnecessary.

Pendeja no soy and I wasn't making judgements. I clearly stated that I hadn't seen the film and I asked for people who had seen to the film to leave an opinion. I've read mixed reviews. The New York Times loved the film (but based on the review I think that's because it eases some of their liberal guilt). Others say the film is a long ass bad novela episode that does a disservice to the Latino/Latin American independent film industry which could use some help in terms of distribution.
