Alberto Gonzales Resigns On Latino Time
Better late then never. The New York Times and other news sources are reporting that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has resigned his post. The official announcement is expected later today after (according to Univision news that I have on now) Gonzales and his wife lunch with President Bush. Gonzales, the first Latino to serve as Attorney General, has been haunted by scandal around the firings of 8 U.S. Attorneys and his abysmal record on civil rights. I guess after being caught in his lies he figured his time had come.
