JLo and Marc to hit the road together

jlo1.jpgPuerto Rican power couple JLo and Marc Anthony will be taking their oh-so-perfect love on the road on their first national tour together, reports People magazine:

Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony will co-headline their first tour together this fall.

The occasion will mark Lopez’s first-ever live concert road trip.

The couple, both 38, will perform separate sets of their own material and will also duet together, and each set will include songs in English and Spanish, according to representatives for the duo.

I wonder if this isn’t going to deal a deadly blow to JLo’s career. Not all are her fans are fans of her husband, and having to sit through his numbers or relive the whole duet thing again. What’s next, a Sonny and Cher-like TV special?

On the bright side of things, People reports that the tour will have an altruistic mission: to bring attention to the problem of childhood obesity in the Latino community. A worthy cause indeed, but isn’t Marc like the last person on earth that should be a poster child for this?

If anything it will boost her career… believe in or not… People love Marc Anthony… We like Jennifer, even love her but dont really cares if she sings or not. She gives a great TV performance, so I see it as a little bit for everybody….
Marc can SING… for for those that didn’t know they might like him,,,, the just might… or probably will…
