cnn_lou_dobbs_portrait-thumb.jpgSome creative activists in Milwaukee planned to descend upon the Milwaukee Courthouse and Immigration Office today donning masks of Lou Dobbs. Members of the grassroots immigration group Voces de la Frontera are asking if it takes being Lou Dobbs to have a voice in the immigration debate. The event is part of a larger 10-city tour across Wisconsin to spark lively debate on immigration reform.

I am a Latina who has lost her job as a house painter to illegal alien cheap labor. Five years ago I was earning almost thirty-two dollars an hour as a master painter. Fast forward to 2007 and I was lucky if I could get eight an hour. I am so angry at the current situation. All the emergency rooms in my town are closed now and when my husbands father had a stroke we had to take him to another town. When will this madness end? It does not matter what your nationality is the law is the law. I hope they build a fence fast!! Thank you GOD men like Lou Dobbs!!! I started watching him about 2 years ago and can honestly say he is the reason I have cable. He galvanized me into action on a host of issues. I re-registered as an Independent. I used to subscribe to the New York times but after the way that rag has gone after Lou I would not used it to line my bird’s cage. I think he is one of the most powerful men in America and a true hero to every day working Americans. I just love the guy and encourage everyone I know to listen to his broadcast.
