The worldwide concert fest being promoted by former vice-president, will not be stopping in Latin America because of security concerns. A concert in Rio was scheduled for Saturday until a Brazilian judge cancelled the event citing the fact that there were not enough officers to control the crowd. The Rio concert was set to feature Lenny Kravitz, Macy Gray and Pharrell Williams and was the only one that would have been free to the public.
Concert organizers are expected to contest the cancelation.
Other Live Earth concerts are slated for London; Tokyo; Johannesburg, South Africa; Shanghai, China; Sydney, Australia; and Hamburg, Germany; East Rutherford, New Jersey and even Antartica. The idea was to have the concerts take place on all seven continents.
